Titel: SL2 primary and secondary channels
Beitrag von: MarsArtis am 05 August 2022, 20:26:27
Hello everybody

Is anybody aware if recording of secondary chennel in the SL2 is related to any settings?
I usually use "DeepWater" sonar setting. And in RM sonarviewer I can only see the primary channel (together with downscan and sidescan)

In some old logs I do see the secondary channel in Reefmaster SonarViewer but I don't remember if I used any different sonar mode.

Luke
Look at pictures again, please.
The first one shows only primary channel for sonar, +downscan and sidescan.

The second picture shows primary and secondary channels for sonar , +downscan and sidescan.

It looks as if in the picture above, the two pictures above come from one transducer only with a different color / display. Or do we not understand something correctly?

So I found the answer:
primary and secondary channels are recorded within sl2 log file if the 2d sonar is working in chirp or if you use two different frequency.
In my case 83 and 200.
