Suppose you have made an AT5  with point features and assigned major and minor categories, for example  Nautical Obstruction.
Is it possible with a HDS Gen2 unit to search for all points in de the map with  categories Nautical Obstruction.
And than choose one of them in te list to show or goto?

In the Find menu, it should be possible.

Only some features are created as searchable through the IMC. 

They need to have a text value, not be an elevation or percentage, and not be explicitly disabled..

o.k. Gregory, this is what I found.

Same SD-card, same AT5 files :
my HDS 9 Touch  does find everything I want in the chart items, no problem at all. (Firmware 3.0)
my HDS 8 Gen2  does find nothing at all  (Firmware 3.0)

What could be the reason?

It's hard to say.  If there is an issue, we'll need to do further investigation.

From my initial tests, the search by category seemed to work for all features/by major category/by major and minor category on the HDS Gen2 software version 3.0.  This isn't to say that all objects were working properly but that some objects were working properly.

It may be related to cache and proximity or zoom level.
