Problem with DRAW_OBJ=Light on Elite 7 Chirp
« am: 13 Juli 2015, 15:31:21 »
Hi,

I've created a chart with seamarks from OSM and used the drawing objects function with filled arrows, sector lights and normal lights. The filled arrows and sector lights work perfectly but normal lights are broken on my Elite 7 Chirp although they are displayed correctly in the Insight Planner.

This is the chart in Insight Planner:

And this is the same spot on the Elite 7 Chirp:

I've selected the shapefile points of this area and copied them together with the AT5 chart and the required IMC files to my Dropbox:

Can somebody please help me to fix this?

PS: I've just noticed that the Insight Planner and the Elite 7 Chirp handle the origin/offset value of the icons differently. In the Insight Planner it alters only the location of the text, in the Elite 7 Chirp it also alters the location of the icon.
Besides that the text on the Elite is always bold.

Best regards
Sven

There's a quirky behavior on the Elite OS for that object.

I fixed it internally about 5 months ago by shifting the ordering of the points and it will be in the next IMC release.

The only way to work around it is to create the Light objects yourself.  You can either use the icon which is always to a fixed direction or you can specify the geometry yourself (but it won't maintain it's scaling).

Thank you for the fast reply and the great work Gregory!

I will wait eagerly for the next IMC release.
