HDS12 Gen3 Software Update 3-3.5-54.1.85-Standard HELP!!!

Hi All

I need help I have two HDS unit's one HDS10 gen2 and a New HDS12 Gen3

(1) HDS 10 gen2 (NOT TOUCH SCREEN) software update 4.0-45.2.200-Standard
(2) HDS 12 Gen3  software Update 3-3.5-54.1.85-Standard
(3) InsightMapCreator ver 7.4

All maps work great in HDS10 Gen2 with Reefmaster or Global Mapper 17 and compiled with InsightMapCreator ver 7.4.  I can turn on and off all my isobaths depths.

The issue is vector maps. I have made my isobaths depths in reefmaster and also in Global Mapper 17. And both do the same thing in the HDS12 gen3. When I go to Chart Options/view/Categories and the list comes up there is no (AREA) Misc so I can not turn off the (AREA) Misc stuff works in HDS.
 I think it's the "(AREA)"  It be also might also might do the same with lines and point have not tested it out yet.

also when I go to FIND Chart Items they how up under the list. just thought might give some insight to issue.
This is a weird issue!!!!

You'll need to perform a local settings reset when the card is in or use an atlas description string.

Each description string's category list is getting permanently set the first time a chart is used under that description string.

I just use atlas description string M=ABC|D=Lake

The "M=ABC|D=Lake" was provided as an example.  This can be whatever you want it to appear as for the chart selection option.

Note that if the category list changes for whatever description string you use, it will continue to be the original one.  Using a description string makes the settings reset a little easier to work since the card doesn't need to be in when doing the reset (embedded maps will set the category list the first time the unit is turned on).  It also separates the chart so it doesn't attempt to merge with the embedded maps.
