Use of KAP files w/ IMC???

I'm interested in using KAP files created from Google Earth images w/ IMC to create AT5 files for use w/ my Zeus2.  I know that I can use KML files to create the AT5's, (created w/ SAS Planet, for example), but I have a source of already created KAP files.  Is it possible to use KAP image files to create image plotting on the chartplotter?  Thanks!

Yes, if you convert this files e. g. to geotiff in the correct coordinate system. E. g. with ArcGIS/Global Mapper is this possible. QGIS also, but there is possible problems with the picture quality. Check also other GIS applications.

Thanks, Jorg.  Will give a look at those.  Also looks like Mapc2mapc might do the KAP to KML conversion.  Will see.
