In Google Earth, if you have lets say 50 sidescan mosaics parallel, you put the lowest layer image at the top of the folder contents and the top layer at the bottom of the folder contents, effectively layering them like tiles on a roof.
The benefit of this is that each row will cover the section of the previous row scan that is of no use i.e. the first few meters directly beneath the boat (SRC)
Currently, the IMC will simply merge imagery into a mosaic at random.
