The best is, you use Reefmaster. Only load the shapefile and process as AT5-file.
The only Problem is - you must before edit the value field and only you know how!

In the attachment you find the shapefile from RM and the AT5 from RM.
And the pic. show the correct line attributation without correct depth values!

Hello
I think I can add / edit / fill fields in Qgis, although I am a surveyor, I have never worked with Qgis and there may be my problem.
I do not have Reefmaster and now I have no opportunity to buy.
I know the depth of each level curve, is that what it takes?
I'll prepare my shap for you to see.
I do not know what kind of attributes to insert into Qgis so that Imc accepts the autocad lines.

Thanks again for your interest in helping me.

Hello, I've already tested your file, it's working perfectly.
The lines are all together. How can I give color and texture?
I'm going to work to see if I can do it myself.

Thank you so much again

It makes not sense to quote the complete IMC manual. Please read the chapter

"Vector Mode Shapefile Attributes" pages 18-21 an "Common Color Scheme" pages 30-35. The IMC manual is included in the IMC zip-file

Best for you would be also, to use othe CAD elements for areas (as polygons) or convert lines to polygones (this also can do the IMC beta Version or QGIS).

Only lines - much more is possible.

Hello

My problem is that my lines are very broken and I can not join thousands of lines to convert to area. "It would be work for years. I'd have another kind of map if I did.
Is there any way to put isobatimetric?
What can I do more with the lines?
I got here already. is no longer bad in two days. :)
Take a look at the photos and give me your experienced opinion.

Thank you

A.Ramos

1. Use a ready background https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/AT5-OpenSeaMap-Chart_for_Lowrance_Simrad_B%26G

2. Reduce the line density.

3. You can merge lines in QGIS (extensions) if you select the line parts with the same value and save as seperatly files, If you do this all 5 meters for depth polygones, this is sufficient. But you must a bit digitalize. If the lines are closed, you can use other tools as ETGeowizards free 'polylines to polygones' or the IMC beta.
https://www.ian-ko.com/Downloads.html The islands i would separatly merge - this will be work best.

4 You can draw a bigger rectangle for land/islands (color 24), and about that a self by hand created shoreline polygone with Google Earth Pro as water (color 11 or so). QGIS can load and convert kml files. Note, that the polygon attributation is different to polylines. And the islands must be lay on the top, if they not donut polygons.

IMC Beta Attribute Processor Mode won't join end to end on lines.

The merge on lines just collects all the parts into a single geometry.

Hello
Here's a shap of my line to see her status
I tried on ETGeowizards but to no avail, not Qgis I'm not getting it.
An example of what ETGeowizards does to my file. Qgis does the same. I do not know how to solve it. :weisnicht1:

I'm not familiar with those tools but I would guess either the contours aren't closed or that it's trying to close individual sections of the line.

It's true what it says.
I thought that there would be an automatic way to join the lines but by the only solution is to close the polygon, otherwise I will never have a surface
The big problem is that I have miles of miles to gather.
best regards :embarrassed:
