Probably, because Reefmaster is known to use something like that. Just ask Matt Fender by email. The developer of the IMC is no longer with Navico and will no longer provide support or updates.

It is not possible to exchange the old images for new ones within the AT5, at least not for the user. But you can cheat by creating the 2 x 2 miles as a new second grid map and when you are in that area you can switch between each.

I have a large satellite map of about 24GB in size zoomed down to Z20/.25.

I want to update a 2 mile x 2 mile section with updated low tide imagery.

Is it possible to do this without having to redo the entire map?

Das Update 26.1 ist gerade erschienen. Es gibt einige Verbesserungen die sowohl die Kartendarstellung, wie auch Sonaroptionen betreffen. Der Schwerpunkt liegt aber auf ActiveTarget. Insofern sollte Euer Gerät diesmal aktualisiert werden.

I'm not an expert on the Icon Editor. But there seem to be ways to do it.

I copied an icon from the database using the Snipping Tool in Windows and imported it into Greenfish. This creates a new layer. The layers are stacked on top of each other, and their transparency is adjusted so that both are visible. Then, the additions/changes are made in the new layer. Finally, the transparency is removed, the icon is exported, and inserted into the IMC.

The images show a fictional example with meaningless green scribbles.

But actually, it's much better if you create your own icons ...

I have a follow up question about the InsightMapCreator.dat file that contains the icons.  Is there a way to get the icon images out of the dat file for modification?  All the documentation seems to be about importing icons, but it would be helpful to be able to export icons so that slight modifications can be made without having to recreate them.  For example, I want to have several different colors of the same icon on my map, but the icon is only available in one color currently.

The only workaround that I can come up with is to double click the icon in the IMC Icon Documentation window, which will give me a larger more detailed view of the icon, but I would still need to paint these pixels in the Greenfish Icon editor to recreate the icon in the colors that I want.

Für einige Nutzer dürfte von Interesse sein, dass in 2026 mit einer Version 3 für Reefmaster gerechnet werden kann. Das war lange gewünscht und konnte aufgrund der beruflichen Situation des Inhabers und Programmierers Matthew Fender bisher nicht realisiert werden.

Wir haben aber bereits erste Vorabversionen und neue Tools darin vorbesprochen bzw. helfen mit beim Testen und der Einarbeitung neues Ideen. Wenn im Frühjahr die Beta-Phase beginnt, dürfte es nicht mehr lange dauern, bis das Tool steht.

Wer sich einbringen möchte, kann gerne hier seine Ideen einbringen oder die geplanten Änderungen mit diskutieren:

Die norwegischen Behörden bieten für PC und Smartphone/Tablet eine sehr hilfreiche Website/App an, die landesweite Tiefen- und Navigationsdaten enthält.
Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Karten ist diese nicht kostenpflichtig und benötigt kein Konto.

Auch wenn man mit den Karten nicht dauerhaft navigieren kann, so ist dennoch eine GPS-Positionsbestimmung möglich, wenn erforderlich.
Die Karte ersetzt sicherlich keine Karten auf Plottern, sollte aber als wichtiges Hilfsmittel bei Geräteausfall genutzt werden, zumindest dort, wo Funkverbindung besteht.
